Schnitzel Snow #28 is back again with the Xmas edition and special guest Udo Neumann, talking about coaching, aspects and psychological theories regarding the matter.
We slowly emersed ourselves into an excursion into eastern philosophies and then realise that we don’t know how we got there.
In the end we talk about Udo’s beginnings in Köln; Nideggen and Basalt Quarries close by.

#27 Gerald Krug

Vor einigen Wochen hatte ich das Vergnügen bei Gerald Krug in Halle einen Abend zu übernachten, da hatten wir auch Zeit über seinen Verlag, die Reisen und das Hausprojekt zu sprechen.
Wir sprachen auch über das letzte Geoquest Projekt, den Bildband "Meisterwege" für Elbsandstein-Freaks.

Had the pleasure of sitting down with Kimbrough Moore a Climber, Guidebook author and Professor of Philosophy and IT.
 
We chat about grading climbing routes, writing guidebooks and what it could mean to get a more diverse gang into climbing, so we become a more colorful community.

What a big turnaround for Didier Berthod and his re-engagement with Squamish, being probably the oldest person to red-point Cobra-Crack in Squamish. We talk about his time in the monastery but also about the current issues concerning Squamish in regards to parking and potential parking fees. We also talk about his latest crack-venture, which is Gold Rush, a well hidden roof crack in the forest of Squamish.

For this talk I was looking forward for quite some time, having had the chance to get a sneaky weekend in last autumn, being able to sit infront of Karma and talk to Charles Albert and Adarsh Singh about Bouldering and the difference between the sharp granit edges in the Himalaya and the fine and precise way to approach friction on the sandstone in Font.

#35 Lise Billon

In this episode, I sit down with French alpinist Lise Billon during the Frankenjura Festival to talk about women in alpinism, adventure, storytelling, and the film Patagonian Chimeras. Together, we explore how ideas of heroism, identity, and our relationship with the mountains are evolving, and why adventure can be as much about self-reflection as achievement.
Patagonian Chimeras was directed by filmmaker Guillaume Broust and follows Lise Billon, Fanny Schmutz, and Maud Vanpoulle on their ascent of Cerro Torre in Patagonia, blending expedition footage, animation, and personal reflection into a unique exploration of modern alpinism.

#34 Chiara Schmidt

Chiara Schmidt ist Pianistin und leidenschaftliche Bergsteigerin – zwei Welten, die auf den ersten Blick kaum zusammenpassen, die sie jedoch in ihren jüngsten Kunstaktionen auf faszinierende Weise miteinander verbindet. Gemeinsam mit anderen Künstler*innen entwickelt sie Projekte, die Musik, Naturerlebnis und Klimaschutz vereinen und dabei neue Perspektiven auf die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Umwelt eröffnen. In unserem Gespräch treffen wir sie im Muzikum in Salzburg, wo sie als Klaviermentorin tätig ist. Wir sprechen über ihre ungewöhnlichen Performances in alpinen Räumen, über die Rolle von Kunst im Kontext der Klimakrise und darüber, wie kreative Zusammenarbeit Menschen inspirieren kann, sich für den Schutz unserer Umwelt einzusetzen.
